Terms of use

These terms govern your use of DLI Lawyers App (“DLI”), a court diary operated by Anurag Bindal (“we”). By signing in or using DLI - on the web or through the Android app - you agree to them. If you use DLI for a chambers or firm, you confirm you are authorised to do so on its behalf.

1. The service

DLI helps lawyers keep a diary of hearings in their own Google Calendar and look up public court information. DLI is a practice-management tool. It does not give legal advice, and it is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any court, the eCourts project or Google.

2. Court information - always verify

Case status, next dates, benches, cause-list items, judges on leave and video-conference links shown in DLI come from public court websites and reference lists. They can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. You remain responsible for your matters: check dates and listings against the official cause list and court record. DLI is not responsible for a missed or wrongly recorded hearing.

3. Your account and your chambers

• You sign in with Google, or with a password a Diary Admin gives you. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us about any misuse.
• A Diary Admin controls the chambers: who is added, what each person can see and do, and which Google calendars DLI uses. Admins are responsible for granting access only to people who should have it.
• Give accurate information, and add only case details you are entitled to handle.

4. Your data

Your diary and case information remain yours. You let DLI access the Google calendars your chambers chooses, only to provide DLI’s features, as described in our privacy policy. You can withdraw that access or delete your account at any time.

5. Acceptable use

Do not:

• use DLI for anything unlawful, or in breach of professional or confidentiality obligations;
• try to access another chambers’ data, probe or break DLI’s security, or overload the service;
• copy DLI’s data in bulk by automated means, or resell the service.

6. Availability and changes

DLI is currently free. We may improve, change or stop parts of it, and we will try to give notice of significant changes. We don’t promise that DLI will always be available or free of errors.

7. Liability

DLI is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss - including loss arising from a missed hearing, an incorrect date or court information, or unavailability of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Ending use

You can stop using DLI and delete your account at any time from Settings → Profile & account. We may suspend or end access that breaches these terms or puts other users at risk.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Delhi have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date above shows when. Continuing to use DLI after an update means you accept the updated terms.
